I have been running a study where videos are shown to participants and they press keys to capture input. This study has been running for a few months and haven't had any issues until last week.
All of a sudden, videos are not loading. When I start an experiment, "Loading Data" flashes in white and green. I never see a % progress bar.
Videos are hosted on Google Drive and the permissions are set to "Anyone with a link can view" I migrated videos over to Box and get the same error.
Has anyone figured out how to resolve this? Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Malin, The same issue is occurring for me, and I haven't been able to resolve it. I've also attempted to migrate the videos to Dropbox and reduce their size, but they still fail to load. A few days ago, maintenance work was performed on the PsyToolkit server; perhaps this is the source of the error?
I've written an email to the developer, but I haven't received a response yet. If you manage to find a solution, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it here.
Thank you

Hi Adriana, I've also reached out to Psytoolkit but haven't heard back. I'll make sure to update this thread when this hopefully gets resolved.
If you figure out the solution, please share.
Thanks!

Hi, I had the same problem with the survey video and still the problem exists...I managed to add a HTML code into my survey so that instead of opening the video in the Psytookit itself, it opens the video in a new browser tab and it works fine for me. Here is the code:
l: sample_video t: info b: Continue q: <style> div.a {line-height: 2;} div.b {line-height: 3;} </style> <div class="a"> Here you can describe the video or leave it empty </div> <div class="b"> Please <a href='https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZApoP2xNMTBoNhjJmWbu8ls0VpvRQQ83/view?usp=sharing' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'> click here </a> to watch the video...after watching the video return to this page and click continue </font> </div>
l: sample_video t: info b: Continue
q: <style> div.a {line-height: 2;} div.b {line-height: 3;} </style> <div class="a"> Here you can describe the video or leave it empty </div> <div class="b"> Please <a href=' drive.google.com/file/d/1ZApoP2xNMTBoNhjJmWbu8ls0VpvRQQ83/view?usp=sharing' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'> click here </a> to watch the video...after watching the video return to this page and click continue </font> </div>
If you copy and compile this code in the survey it will open and play the video in a new tab...if it works for you, you can use this method, the only thing you need to do is to replace the google drive link in the code (colored in red) with your own video link and you can change the texts written in the code (colored in blue) to what suits your study.

At the end of the previous code there was a residual HTML formatting (</font>), I removed it here...but the previous code also works fine.
l: sample_video t: info b: Continue q: <style> div.a {line-height: 2;} div.b {line-height: 3;} </style> <div class="a"> Here you can describe the video or leave it empty </div> <div class="b"> Please <a href='https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZApoP2xNMTBoNhjJmWbu8ls0VpvRQQ83/view?usp=sharing' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'> click here </a> to watch the video...after watching the video return to this page and click continue </div>
