I am coding the Attentional Network Task (by Rueda et al. 2006) on the web version of your program (version 3.4.4). I am currently facing a conundrum; I hope you can help me find a solution.
A trial runs as follows. A cue is presented following a fixation point; the stimulus appears after 400/500 ms. The participant must answer by pressing one of the two arrows on the keyboard, indicating the direction of the stimulus, and ignoring the flankers. The participant has 3000ms to answer, followed by positive or negative feedback. Here's the issue:
Unfortunately, the participant can cheat by pressing the two keys simultaneously. I am currently measuring the KEY, STATUS, and RT, but when KEY is measured, is only the first pressed, or if they are pressed simultaneously, one of the two is by chance.
I need to know if the participant is pressing two keys instead of one. So that I can categorize the trials with multiple pressed as WRONG, and they can receive negative feedback. At the very best, if it is not possible, I can exclude the trials with multiple keys pressed. Is there a way to measure all the keys that are pressed on the webversion of the experiment?
Thank you in advance for your help And a heartfelt thank you for your contribution to the scientific community
