Dear All, I'd like to program a simple experiment based on a speeded 2-choise response task in which the available time to respond is individually determined using a staircase-like procedure.
So that accuracy is pushed to a certain threshold (e.g. 20% errors) by gradually reducing the available time to respond (and increasing the available time if the error rates go too high, say above 30%).
Is this possible in PsyToolKit?
In terms of a moving window (e.g. across the last 20 trials) probably not, but maybe on the basis of short blocks (e.g. 30 trials/block)? Then at the end of each block, accuracy is calculated and a variable containing the available time to respond is adjusted before the next block starts?
Kind Regards,
Andre
