I set up an experiment which has participants listen to a 15 minute (14MB) audio file. I uploaded the audio file to my Google Drive account, then created a shareable link as instructed on the Audio and video in surveys Psytoolkit lesson page under the heading "How to play a sound from my Google Drive." Most of the time, the audio file plays fine, but about one third of the time the audio file freezes about halfway through playing the file.
One member of our lab team said that the audio file is not being loaded entirely as the web page itself is loaded, so after pressing play it stops because the file hasn’t been fully loaded into memory.
Here is how I coded the audio intervention:
