I am wondering if there is a way to limit sequences of similar stimuli when randomizing presentations. For instance, if I have two types of stimulus, can I limit sequences of items from each type to no more than 4 consecutive stimuli of that type? I realise that I could construct a fixed order that does this, but this would not then be newly randomised for each participant
