Hello,
I am new to PsyToolkit. Sorry for asking this simple question... I tried to search the forum and read all the documentation but couldn't find the answer.
How many participants can I recruit without "overloading the server" or "maxing out the amount of server space that I am allocated to"? I plan to run a study with 3000 participants, each completing 4 tasks (Corsi block forward and backward, mental rotation, and digit span) and answering a few survey questions.
Many thanks!

Hi there,
I think that should be alright. @everyone, please correct me, if not.
Your allocated space should be 488 MB (you can see that when you go on settings and then scroll down a bit). Participant data usually takes not much space, like 1-2 KB for the experiment part and about 12 KB for the survey part plus a few KB for the overview tables in CSV and Excel format, which grow with every participant. I do not know how much space each experiment or survey takes, but I have currently 11 surveys and 17 experiments on my account and only used about 24% of my available space. Depending on how big your experiment is and how much data you save for each participant, it appears to me, that you could be fine with the space available.
You could try it out by doing your experiment yourself or with others like 6-10 times or so and then calculate the increase of the size of the overview tables after every second run. This together with the known size of your participant data for survey and experiment part should provide you with the expected storage necessary.
