I am creating an experiment. I have a video that is linked to Dropbox. When I compile and then choose the run button, it does not show the video or play the sounds. It does seem to take the time (black screen) needed to show it. If I download to my computer, it shows the video and plays all sounds (mp3 sounds don't play in compile/run mode either).
Does anyone know if I can expect the final experiment, when put online, to act like the "compile and run" or the "downloaded to computer" one? Is there a setting that affects the display during design mode?
Thanks, Rick Stevens

Hi there,
There shouldn't be any differences between the online and the downloaded version of your expriment. Try to create an experiment with your stimulis with only 1 video and 1 sound, then see if it works online (like the code below). If it still doesn't work, there is the possibility that your stimulis are too big (especially videos) and cannot be loaded for the experiment.

Thanks. I tried taking your code and replacing the sound with a short beep and I replaced the video with a slightly larger one. When I compile and run, I get a still picture of the start of the video and no sound. It continues for a while (apparently the 'delay 2000' stuff) and then goes black and stops. When I download to my computer and run, I see the first two seconds of the video, a beep, and it restarts, beeping for each cycle. It seems to be working ok downloaded but not when run out of the editor. I haven't tried making a survey to run the experiment with.
I did first try using your video with a slight difference. When run from the editor, I saw the beetle move the first time, then not the later ones.
It's clumsy, but if I knew that when embedded in a survey it would look like the downloaded to the computer, that would be workable.
