Currently we are having to determine data based upon the date/time of administration of the task. However, we would much prefer to use the child IDs that our lab has given these participants. We would like to have some sort of dialogue box prior to starting the experiment that could change the way the data is named upon completion to use our child IDs rather than/in addition to the date and time naming convention it has currently. Does anyone know how we could go about doing this?

Did you figure this out? I think I may have a solution if you did not.

Hello,
The data file naming system is fixed. BUT there is still a good solution for what you want.
What you can do is this. Have as your first "question" in your survey the following:
l: my_id t: textline q: Please enter the ID code of the participant below - Type it here:
This way, once you open your spreadsheet with all the data (a file called "data.xlsx"), you will have in your spreadsheet next to the PsyToolkit survey filenname the ID you want.
That should really do what you want.
Hope that helps.
Best,
Gijsbert Stoet
