Dear Forum User(s),
I am exploring the possibilities of using Psytoolkit in a new study. When I tried to run some of the experiments on a mobile phone, I ran into the problem that I could not start them because they require pressing "Space bar" for continuing to the actual experiment after the instructions. I have not found a way yet to get the keyboard on the screen when there is no text input entry (and I doubt if that would work anyway).
Is there any advice on how I can proceed with this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Best, Silvano

If you use keyboard responses in your experiment, it will not run on mobile devices without a (real) keyboard. You can easily make experiments mouse (or touch) only. Examples can be found here:

Hi there, For the message instruction, the space bar is the default key to press to continue after the instructions. It doesn't work on mobile devices for the reason aforementioned. However, with the mouse parameter, you can ask participants to click on the screen (= touching the screen) to start the experiment instead of using the keyboard. message myInstruction mouseAlternatively you can use the pager instruction (see the documentation, scroll down a bit). There is also a lesson about that.
