Hi,

I want to create an experiment with a task that is based on two auditory stimuli - where each is from a different set.
Each stimuli shouldn't be repeated, so once it was used in any "stimuli pair" - it won't appear again.

Is there a way to implement this kind of behavior with two tables? or do I have to create all combinations in advance?

Hi there,

it is not possible to use more than one table in a task. One option would be to preset combinations in a table (like you suggested) and using all_before_repeat and the amount of trials equal to the length of your table to show all trials while having no repeated trials.

One suggestion was once offered in another thread, which would work without a table: psytoolkit.boards.net/thread/239/set-function-random-replacement

but it could risk a prelonged loading time, if you have many variables that would have to be checked.
