Hello, I'd like to know if there is a way to display either the raw data (RT for each trial) or even the mean for RTs to the participants as part of a survey with an embedded experiment. I'm only using very simple tasks like simple RT and Go-Nogo. I'd like for students to directly have access to their RTs after completing the experiment, without having to return each student their specific data. Is anyone aware of a way to do this, if it's possible?
I added just two lines to show the response time (and below some further explanation). (The color/font below is just for clarity)
task simpletask keys b show text "Press b when you see red rectangle" delay 1000 clear -1 show rectangle 0 0 100 100 255 0 0 readkey 1 2000 clear -1 show text "Your response time in milliseconds:" show text RT 0 100 255 255 0 delay 3000 save RT block firstblock tasklist simpletask 10 end
The red line shows a "text" and in this case, instead of showing some words within quotes, you give the general variable RT, which has the last measured reaction time (press down time). The "0 100" gives the XY location of the text of screen, in this case, means it is in the center of the screen (0 on X-axis) and just below center on Y-axis. The 255 255 0 is the so called RGB code for yellow. Note that the last 3 numbers in the "show rectangle" line have 255 0 0, which is "red". Read more about color codes and stimulus positioning here:
