Hello,
I have been using the jump feature using answers from radio questions. Now, I am wondering if it's possible to do the same for textline? For example, if (and only if) the participant types in a specific response ("crackers") then jump to the appropriate command.
I would just use radio questions, but we are trying to make it to where the participant cannot proceed through the experiment without a special word from the experimenter.
Thank you!

Hi, unfortunately that is currently not possible (at some point in the relatively far future). Are you giving invited participants a "code word" so that you know only invited people can participate? If that is the case, you can give a number. Currently, the system can only jump based on whole numbers. So instead of putting a word like "crackers" just choose some random number like "453924" and base your jump on that (note that I have used the new version 3.0.0 syntax, which makes jump questions somewhat shorter). You can use "then end" to directly jump to the end of the survey...
l: mycode t: textline q: What is your invitation code given by the experimenter? - Enter the number here, please:
j: if $mycode != 453925 then end
l: nextquestion t: radio q: Welcome, please check this and that - some answer - some answer

Yes, a whole number code is the perfect solution. Thanks!

Great, I am glad that works. Note that you can also "force" people to enter a number, if that is necessary. That is, if they would enter something else than a number, they would not be able to continue. In your case it is maybe not necessary, but just in case it is useful:
Also, note that the new 3.0.0 has a number of new features, such as allowing people to enter their own option in radio and check questions.
