Hi everybody!
I want to evaluate the familiarity of a list of famous faces. For each famous face, i scripted a question (type t: range) in which the participant will have to evaluate the familiarity of said face by rating them on a horizontal slider (ranging from 0 to 100). Then, for the same famous face, a second question (t: textbox) will appear and require information about the the context of familiarity (e. g. "if you know this person, please provide his/her name or some details about the context from whcich you know him/her?"=) (I linked the two questions with the optional attribute o: link).
In order to make every question mandatory, i wanted to use the optional attribute "o: require" in the both aforementioned questions but i can´t since i already use the optional atribute "o: link" to link the textbox questions to the "t: range" questions. Is there a way to use two optional atributes (o:) for a question, or a workaround that Will alow me to link our "t: textbox" question to the "t: range" question and also require a mandatory answear to both questions?
Besides this, those anyone know you if it is possible to hide the alphanumeric value from the horizontal slide (0-100) and center this scale (i already tried to hide it trough html commands but i wasn´t able to do so); and if there is a way disable the page break marker that separates the question window from the response button window?
Thank you so much for your time, Regards, Fábio.

Hi, you can just have multiple "o:" lines one after another.
o: require o: link
Why do you want to hide the alphanumeric values?
You can hide the labels or add left and right labels.
Can you post the one question's syntax here and then it is easier to answer in detail and understand how you'd like it.
If you would like to have an additional feature that is currently not available (like hiding the number), please also post an email to psytoolkit@gmx.com In any case, I think that makes sense and will put it on the wishlist. Maybe I can add it soon, please keep me up to date via email.

Hi everybody! It seems that the question type Range does not work correctly. I set the min point at 1 and max point at 9 for slider, but the upper bound (max) does not change from 100 to 9 when I run the survey. Besides, when I set the question and the survey interface to be shown in my own language (Farsi), the lower bound does not work, too, and a text line appears above the slider reading (min=1, max=9). Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

Hi again, Thank you for the quick reply.
I already tried to use two "o:" lines for the same question but unfortunetly when i use a o: require function after a o: link funtion (in separate lines), PsyToolkit doesn´t take into account the second "o:" line. Which means that the question is linked to the prior item, but the answear to this question isn´t mandatory. You´ll find a model of my actual code at the bottom of the post.
To answear your question, we want that our participants evaluate the list of faces we are going to present them using a visuo-iconic scale in order to avoid some issues typically related to alpha-numeric scales (for instance the tendency to exclusive use "round numbers" like 50, 60, 70).
I also would like to thank you for the availability to add new features to your platform. I already send an email to the mailbox you posted with the subject line "Questions regarding PsyToolkit" (my email is fabio.monteiro@ubi.pt), but i will send you a new one with the new features suggestions.
random: begin
l: Kim_Kardashian_range q: <B>Quão familiar é esta pessoa para si?</B> #(How familiar is this person to you?) i: Kim_Kardashian.png t: range - {min=0,max=100,left=Nada Familiar,right=Extremamente Familiar,start=50}
Se não reconhece a pessoa, deixe em branco.</B> #(If you recognize this person, please state his/her name or some information about the context from which you know him/her)
l: Demi_Lovato_range q: <B>Quão familiar é esta pessoa para si?</B> #(How familiar is this person to you?) i: Demi_Lovato.png t: range - {min=0,max=100,left=Nada Familiar,right=Extremamente Familiar,start=50}
l: Demi_Lovato_text q: <center></center> i: Demi_Lovato.png o: link t: textbox - <B>Se reconhece esta pessoa, indique o seu nome, ou o contexto de onde a conhece (ex., profissão, sendo o mais específico/a possível). Thank you for your attention, Fábio.

l: testrange t: range q: Choose an answer on the scale from "not at all" to "very much" - {min=1,max=9,left=not at all,right=very much,start=5} I like drinking coffee. - {min=1,max=9} I like drinking orange juice.

Thank you so much for your time, Regards, Fábio. In the next version ( alpha version available here) you can hide the numerical value as follows:
l: testrange t: range q: Choose an answer on the scale from "not at all" to "very much" - {min=1,max=9,left=not at all,right=very much,start=5,no_number} I like drinking coffee. - {min=1,max=9} I like drinking orange juice.
In other words, there is an element option for the range that allows you to switch off the default of showing the value. This is a new feature, because this is a good and useful addition. Thanks for the suggestion!

Stay tuned via twitter twitter.com/psytoolkit or email me about this.

Thank you very much professor. But I did put { }. I finally found out that the problem was with the spaces I put after each comma! when I removed the spaces, It worked! thanks again.

Hi again. I am having three problems running my survey. first,I include "o: require" line in all my questions, but only one of the questions runs as required when I run my survey (the continue button remains grey until an answer is selected), and in the rest of them the continue button is blue and active before and after inserting any answer. I should note that all of my questions are textline type except one which is a scale type and this one is the only one that runs as required! second, for my only scale type question, when an answer is selected, the whole page jumps to the left side of the screen and you see a grey empty page which should be scrolled to the right for the question to be visible again! I've tried all selection type questions (like radio, check, scale,...) and this is true for all of them! I should note that my survey is written in Farsi which is a Right-to-Left language. There is no such problem in running my English surveys. Third, and most of all, the system does not save my survey's data! I've tried all three survey status mode. Interestingly, when I include my experiment into my survey, only the experiment data are saved. In data zip file, I have some s files, which are the experiment and survey configuration files, and my experiment data files. There is no file which contains the respondents' answers to survey questions. Could you please help me with these? Thank you very much.
